ÜFIP (ÜNB-FNB-IT-Plattform) is a critical infrastructure platform jointly developed by Amprion and Open Grid Europe (OGE), launched in November 2025. It enables real-time coordination between Germany’s electricity transmission operators (ÜNB) and gas transmission operators (FNB) during supply bottlenecks, allowing gas-critical power plants to be rapidly instructed to generate electricity when the gas network comes under strain. The platform fulfils regulatory requirements under §§ 12 and 16 of the Energiewirtschaftsgesetz (EnWG).

My role

I joined the project as a full-stack developer during active development, working across the backend, database layer, and frontend. I have since been involved in ongoing maintenance and extension of the platform within a regulated KRITIS environment.

Due to the sensitive nature of the project, implementation details are under NDA.
